Please read my comments regarding Virgin customer care - I am having problems with Virgin too although I think your case is alot worse than mine! At least I am supposedly guaranteed my resort! Their idea of customer service is shocking - Virgin need to get their act in gear.
We have booked for Almond Casuarina for Dec 08 with First Choice. Found out that hotel was still under construction and asked why they are selling holidays and they said that it will be ready by then. When asked if we could have somewhere else as a guarantee just in case you can guess the reply !!!! Booked with First Choice due to advertising their airlines legroom etc and lo and behold confirmation tells us that we will be flying with Thomsonfly.......? At this moment in time we do not have that much faith in First Choice so you are not on your own out there.
Are there any reviews on any holiday website from people that have actually stayed at the Almond Casurina Beach - we are going on the 17th August for ten nights, we have paid the final balance. Tried to get Virgin to change they wanted another £1,000 to transfer to ABV. We have had an email from Virgin advising that the hotel will be fully operational by then. Also spoke to Almond Resorts direct have been sent some photos - I think photos have been staged to make it look good. Would love to hear from a paying guest who has actually been there.
